HP OfficeJet 5500 Series Ink Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. Open the printer's front door, then raise the ink access door.
  2. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
  3. Gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge to release it. Then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave HP 5500 Series ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Insert the HP 5500 ink cartridge into its respective slot until it clicks into place.
  6. Close the ink access door and put the front cover back into place.

    they suck sent me the wrong ink because my printer told me it was wrong one I even sent them pictures of it like they instructed me to and still told me the ink works with you printer they sent me one for a lazer printer mine isn't lazer one I recommend Inkjets.com they send the right ink tomato ink lost my business

    I have come to like these HP replacement cartridges. I buy them over and over. The only problem with the color, is you might notice "spitting" on the first two pages.These make great gifts, too.

    I mostly use this product for greeting card and photo printing. The price is at least half of what I would pay at an office product store. I find colors to be sharp. Can't say if it lasts as long as regular brand name replacements or not, but I am complet
