HP PhotoSmart B110c Ink Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Open the cartridge access door. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
  3. Press the tab on the front of the cartridge to release the old cartridge, and then remove it from the slot.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave HP B110c ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. With the cartridge contacts facing the printhead, slide the cartridge into the empty slot.
  6. Press down on the cartridge until it locks into place.
  7. Close the cartridge door.

How do I get my HP printer to accept compatible cartridges?

But in case you encounter an issue wherein your printer will not accept it, the first thing to check is if you have purchased the correct model number of cartridge for your printer. To verify this, just check the printer's manual or the old cartridge installed in your printer and look for the model number which usually consists of alphanumeric characters. Once verified and you're still having the same issue, the next thing to do is to turn off the printer for at least 15 minutes, then wipe the copper or chip part of the cartridge with a non-abrasive towel or cloth with alcohol.     I ordered a bunch of ink (black, photo black, and blue/yellow/magenta) for my HP printer, and a toner cartridge for my Brother laser printer, from Tomato Ink several months ago. All of them were wonderful...except the photo black for some reason. I took that one out and replaced it with an HP cartridge and the problem of faded black printing was solved. I don't know why just that one had a problem. The rest of the stuff, I highly recommend!

    Actually I bought the cartridge to replace a miss-labeled one from Tomatoink. It was labeled to fit an HP 3520 printer and would not fit. It had a "T" shaped plastic inboard end catch instead of a "-" shaped one
