Epson Stylus D68P Ink Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Open the printer's top cover and then press and release the Ink icon button. Do not press this button for more than three seconds or the printer will automatically go to the printhead cleaning process.
  3. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
  4. Open the ink cartridge lid and press the tab at the end of the cartridge that needs to be replaced to release it, then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus D68P ink cartridge. Shake the ink cartridge for about 4 to 5 times before opening it from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Insert the new ink cartridge into its respective slot. Push the cartridge until it snaps the lock into place. Then close the ink cartridge lid.
  7. Close the printer's top cover and press the Ink icon button to start the ink charging process. Let this finish on its own to avoid wasting ink.
