Canon MG3010 Ink Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Open the front cover of your printer to access the Canon PIXMA MG3010 ink cartridges.
  3. The ink cartridges' cartridge will move automatically. Wait for it to get into a complete stop before proceeding.
  4. To release the ink cartridge, gently push it down until it clicks.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave Canon MG3010 ink cartridge, open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Insert the new Canon MG3010 ink cartridge to its respective slot in a slanting position. Once placed just gently push it in, you should hear a click indicating that its properly locked in place.
  7. Close the access door then try to print a test page.

These cartridges have different sizes, yield, and compatibility and your printer will not recognize the cartridge if it's the wrong one. Using the wrong ink cartridge on your HP printer might cause some issues. To know the model number of the cartridge your printer is using, you may check the user's manual that came with your printer. You may also check the existing cartridge that is installed in your printer, in front or on the side is a label or sticker with the model number which usually consisted of alphanumeric characters.     I was pleasantly surprised the reman cartridges were accepted by my Canon printer; those I had previously purchased from another supplier didn't work. I had always been led to believe I had to use OEM carts, but Tomatoink certified theirs would work. So I will stick with them.
